Since acquiring Samsung’s SMT (Surface Mount Technology) division, Hanwha Techwin has continued to support and produce CP series feeders, as well as developing new electric versions. Hanwha CP feeders are specifically designed for the Samsung CP series of pick-and-place machines (e.g., CP40, CP45, CP60), offering non-stop capability for continuous production.

Key characteristics of Hanwha CP feeders

• Legacy support: The “Hanwha CP Feeder” designation refers to the continued availability and support for the original Samsung CP series feeders. These feeders are still in widespread use for machines like the CP40, CP45, and CP60.
• Pneumatic operation: Most CP series feeders operate using compressed air to advance the component tape.
• Non-stop operation: A critical feature of these feeders is the ability to change reels without stopping the machine, maximizing production uptime.
• Wide tape width range: CP feeders are available in various widths, from 8mm up to 56mm, to accommodate a wide array of component sizes.
• Color coding: To minimize operator error, some 8mm feeders feature color-coded handles that indicate the tape pitch.
