Hanwha Stick Feeder

Dobeter provide a wide range of Hanwha stick feeder, which is a type of vibratory feeder used with Hanwha (formerly Samsung) pick-and-place machines to present components supplied in plastic tubes or “sticks”. Hanwha Stick Feeder is a specialized accessory designed for components that are too large, heavy, or sensitive to be handled by traditional tape-and-reel feeders. Hanwha Stick Feeders are specialized storage and feeding units designed for Hanwha SMT pick-and-place machines, supporting various feeder series like CP, SM, and SME to enable efficient and precise component placement in electronics manufacturing.

  1. Component Loading: Operators manually load plastic component sticks into the feeder. The sticks are arranged in a stack, and the components are contained within.
  2. Vibration and Advancement: The feeder uses a vibratory mechanism to gently shake the sticks. This vibration causes the components to move out of the stick and into a single-file line.
  3. Component Presentation: Once in a single-file line, the components move to a precise pick-up location, where they are aligned and ready for the pick-and-place machine’s nozzle to retrieve them.
  4. Automated Placement: The pick-and-place machine picks up and places the components onto the PCB, just as it would with components from a tape feeder.

Why use a Dobeter’s Hanwha stick feeder?

Dobeter’s Hanwha Stick feeders are essential for SMT assembly lines that use components not suited for tape-and-reel packaging, including:
  • Large or bulky components that would deform or get stuck in tape.
  • Heavy components that require a more robust feeding mechanism.
  • Components with delicate leads or sensitive features that need extra protection during handling.
