How a Yamaha feeder loading unit works
Feeder preparation: An operator takes an empty Yamaha feeder and mounts it onto the feeder loading unit.
Tape loading: The operator then threads the new component reel into the feeder on the unit. The unit provides a stable, ergonomic jig for this process.
Offline process: All of this is done “offline” or away from the active production line.
Changeover: When the current production run is complete, the operator simply swaps the entire set of empty feeders on the machine with the pre-loaded feeders from the loading unit or cart.
